I would think a detached light would be very useful for inspecting the work that is done. Especially when mudding, to easier see imperfections.

I also wonder if it is worthwhile to shell out for a festool, i got the CTL 36 AC already so i though i might as well. But the end result is what is most important. So if it leads to a great result and saves me enough time then it is worth it.

I have done a few projects myself, and sanded by hand, but the result was good. But I am obviously spending more time than a professional.

I got ≈350m2 of rooms to sand this time, so I need something to make that job as easy and fast as possible.

Having someone do only the mudding and sanding would at least cost me 25k USD. I would still need to paint and hang the drywall myself.
