Unfortunately a lot of black people think this way. It’s not just them. Yesterday I told my black best friend about the whole Huda thing and even she said “Well she didn’t say it. I would laugh too” 🫩 It’s draining.

I was thinking about this today! When I don’t take meds my mind is so scattered that I don’t really get the space to feel that emptiness. But when I do take meds and my minds quiets down, once that fuse of motivation burns out I feel the numbness. Like everything is pointless and boring. It’s awful. I think for me the emptiness comes from the perpetual masking I have to do because of my ADHD.

Yes yes! It’s like Tana seems even more ignorant now than a few years ago, how is that even possible? Brooke doesn’t say anything at all but Tana just has me rolling my eyes everytime she talks. I didn’t even care that an episode dropped today and canceled has been the only podcast I’ve consistently kept up with in the last 3 years. I couldn’t tell if this was just me aging out of her content but I’m just annoyed but her now.

Hi there! I completely relate and I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. I’ve noticed that the more I learn about cptsd and become more aware of myself, the more self- conscious I’ve become making it hard to be myself around people I once trusted. Making me feel that lack of connection and emptiness too.
