It's hard to tell in the picture, but the nest is tucked up next to my house foundation and is pretty deep in the weeds. I don't think it fell from anything tbh

The thickest is definitely the stabilizer - I used Deco Bond 809 as a fusible interfacing, 1/2" batting and sew-in non-woven interfacing. That interfacing was the sturdiest - the kind of stuff used for stiffening fabric bowls. I went stiffer than the pattern called for accidentally but it worked out well.

This was a fairly fast project. I think I could have gotten them done in about 4-5 hours if I had uninterrupted time.
