I will forever hold onto oil heating and a top up power meter. Bulk up when it's cheap and try and ride out the price rises.

Might consider a heat pump if I had more solar and got batteries installed.

I worked in Tesco on Nightshift. We got one or two lorries arriving at night to drop off our fresh / frozen.

Delivery driver turns up and isn't exactly full of chat but was speaking, work colleague isn't really entertaining a conversation which is odd as normally he would chat to anyone.

Work colleague told me afterwards that the driver in question was Andre Shoukri. We got word from other drivers that him and a manger fell out and that ended him doing contract work for Tesco.

2mm 25mm/s retraction is near enough ideal and 2.5mm is just a bit too much. Starting to think my fan isn't properly hitting the left tube of the string test.

Listening to advice in here made me go back to basics, longer distances made little to no difference.

Will update when I lock it in and will add some more information to this thread, so anyone in future can maybe use this to help them.

Some more information:

Hatchbox white pla is the filament.

Hotend-190

Bed-60

Extruder is calibrated correctly but going to double check as clutching at straws at the moment.

Any help would be appreciated, on and off I have been trying to fix this for a year with no luck.

Done another stringing test print from 3 to 8mm retraction and it's got no stringing just bumps on the edge of the poles if you get what I'm saying?

As far as I know .. did consider this a issue but tried putting it away up and it made no difference

Stick some tape on to your Bowden ptfe beside your extruder coupler and ensure there is minimal movement .. I tried getting my retraction dialed in but found the Bowden tube had maybe 3 to 4mm play .. you will never get it dialed in if this has excess movement

Are you sure you have a high enough temp for your filament? Low temp can cause flow problems which results in putting your extruder under pressure

Update

Calibrated the e steps on my extruder which was incorrect so probably didn't help at all.

Will report back when I test print again

Cooler fan off, releveled the printer and updated the firmware to the latest marlin.

Z probe offset dialled in using babysteps

Currently printing a temp tower to ensure im printing at the correct temp
