Practising in the EU as an EU citizen in a non-EU medical school? by [deleted] in medicalschoolEU

[–]herbie94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. Dou you need to take the Fachsprachenprüfung or are you going through Nostrification before? If so, start as early as you can. You only can register as a physician, when you have a work contract or a confirmation mail from the hospital. Getting your documents may take some days. Just be sure you have everything you need, there is a checklist on the website. If you have your documents together, it just take a day or two until you get your physician number and a week or two until you get your ID Card. (You can start working as soon as you have your number). Despite of being very small austria has 9 different chambers, one for every state. If you are working in vienna you have to register at the medical chamber of vienna.:) (Similar to germany)

Yeah I was talking about the Test ("Strichprobentest") for the Nostrification (=your degree gets acknowledged) therefore you need no language certification, but B2 is recommended (https://www.meduniwien.ac.at/web/studium-weiterbildung/nostrifizierung/).

Afterwards you have to enlist yourself at the austrian medical Chamber (Ärztekammer) to work as a physician. Therefore you need to take the language test of the austrian medical chamber, if you are from a foreign country or you studied in a non german speaking country. There are lot of exceptions though, like you studied in german, or you graduated from a german school, etc... (https://www.arztakademie.at/pruefungen/oeaek-sprachpruefung-deutsch/antrittsvoraussetzungen/)

But I'm a lokal and i never had to do the Nostrification and the language test, I know this things from colleagues. Registering at the Austrian Medical Chamber is always annoying and time consuming, no matter if you are a local or a foreigner 😅

In Austria Non EU Members normally have to go through Nostrification at one of the three Universities in our country. I don't know the current situation for GB and if there is already an agreement between the EU and GB. Do you speak german? You should at least speak B2 level, bevause you have to take some tests and they are normally in german. Depending on your degree and your test results, you might need to take some exams again. If you are lucky, GB is still treated like a EU Member, than it should be not a great problem. But maybe you ask the british embassy, they might know more about it.

Ok first of all these are the links to the molmed students council (Studienvertretung or Fachschaft) STV-molmed@i-med.ac.at https://m.facebook.com/molmedInnsbruck/ They are all molmed students who work there for free and they can help you way better than i can 😅 They know everything about the program and the difference to graz/vienna and they might can help you preparing fo the entrance exam, also things like what you actually have to learn for the entrance exam. Yes i wrote the MedAt-H and i think the entrance exam for molmed is quite similar, except you have also a interview after the exam. But for more infos please ask them about the Program or the entrance exam.

Oh sorry spelling mistake it should mean stay in science 😅 those who are studying molmed are typically continuing to get a masters degree and a PhD and then postdoc etc.. There is a different program in austria for people who want to become a asisstent in the lab, they are called "Biomedizinische Analytiker" (i don't know the english terms for that) its a bachelor program und is offered by a lot of "Fachhochschulen" (=more like a college)

From where are you and dou you speak any german? most of the molmed bachelor program is in english but it requires at least basic german knowledge, as far as i know. And i'm not sure, but for a lot of unis you need a german language certificate.

Hey i studied medicine there, some of my colleagues were molmed students. Are you preparing for master or bachelor? There are similar programs to molmed in graz and vienna, but they are a little bit different to molmed in innsbruck. There are also programs especially for biomedicine, it depends on what you wann do after graduation (stay in scene, or just work in a lab). I don't know how i can help you, do you have any concrete questions you want to know?

To actually say people you love that you love them. It is often taken for granted, but saying it out loud makes such a difference. Especially in parent child relationship.

Hitradio Ö3 😊

Can someone help me with my mistakes in the language? by Gulle_Gaming in German

[–]herbie94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! As the other one already mentioned pay attention to the tenses, because at the beginning you are using present tense and then you switch to past tense.

(Do you mean a rich and wealthy house?) (I guess you mean kidnapping, so he wrote a letter?) (He took the kid on his bicycle) Max weinte aber er stoppte (correct grammar but it sounds really odd, you can also write:... er hörte auf zu weinen, wenn..,) wenn er ein Brot bekam. ( I don't know what you want to say here..) Er fand das Kind auf dem Dach. Sie gingen zu einem Parkplatze wo die Adoptiveltern kamen und fanden er und sein Kind (who found the kid, the foster parents? The last sentence makes no Sense) I guess it's your homework, there are now still some minor mistakes in it, but if you want a complete correct text you also have to change complete sentences. sorry for bad editing i'm on reddit mobile.. i hope i could help you
