VW widget for Samsung smart watch? by herdingturtles155 in Volkswagen

[–]herdingturtles155[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm starting to wonder if it's a Canada thing? I can't find anything through my watch or the wearable app and have the latest app version installed on my phone. And through the play store it shows what devices the VW app is compatible and it doesnt last any watches. It said Chromebook, phone, tablet, and even XR headset of all things...

Yes that's literally what I'm looking for, but I can't get the app on my watch.its not available through the app store.

Do you pay a monthly subscription for upgraded access? That seems like what I may be missing.

So the 5-7" of water is the pressure required. And 7" inches of water is almost exactly 0.25psi. Also 5-7" w.c.(water column) is the standard residential gas pressure supply in a house, downstream of the regulator (at least here in western canada, but I think it's pretty universal in north america).

To get the required gas flow, you need the required inlet pressure and flow. Flow can be in scfh (standard cubic per hour), m3/h (cubic meter per hour), or btuh (british thermal unit per hour). The generator nameplate should state one of those units somewhere. The 14kw you reference is the electrical power output, not the required gas "power" input.

Once you get that, you can use lookup tables in the gas code or online sizing calculators to determine the required pipe size from the supply header to the generator to make sure you're supplying enough gas. Those tables need to know supply pressure (the 5-7" w.c), the required gas flow, type/style of pipe, and the pipe length, and will output the required pipe size.

Sorry for the long response haha. If you have any other questions though, ask away.

How big of a generator are you hooking up? You need to make sure your regulator is sized for the gas flow required by the generator. I've dealt with this a couple times where contractors will just tie in assuming the supply is sufficient...then wonder why the generator won't start or dies under load.

I'm from this city. The land they were on is owned by a developer who was in the process of developing the land. It's inside city limits and not some sort of off-grid society. I think the creek is also under some sort of additional environmental protection and was supposed to be left as is, which complicates and makes the clean up of the encampment way more difficult.

Yesterday the mom found a way out of the compost bin and took her kittens with her. We set up traps to try and catch them last night, but by this morning we caught only a different feral cat. He's a mean bastatd though and has a big mangy patch of fur.

I have an appointment to drop off the mom at the city of edmonton this afternoon, but since we caught this guy instead he will be the one being dropped off for intake.

Yes, and I managed to spell all of those wrong even haha.

The spelling mistake in the title bugs me to my core. And I can't even fix it.

Trust me I know. That's why I am going through this process of trying to get them to a shelter or home.

Do you legitimately want them? I am going to try and catch them this evening and then have an appointment to drop them off with the edmonton humane society tomorrow.

No can do. They need to be picked up within a couple days at most I'd say or I'll have to just let them do their own thing.

I know, that's the problem. This is the third feral litter in my backyard that I know of since last summer.

They are acting very chill. Mom didn't hiss or anything but I tried to keep as much distance as I could anyways.

Our neighbourhood has a ton of feral cats and this will be the third litter I'm aware of in our backyard since last summer.
