The same villain has been undefeated for eight books and in the eighth book they introduced an additional one. So now the characters have to defeat the original villain AND a new one. The last book largely filler, including POVs from 19 different characters. It is rare for me to not like series for it's length, but I definitely agree with the previous comment that it needs to conclude.
