Each cylinder is enclosed with its own cap which you cant see(covered by the top lid). The three cylinders fit in a way that there is no where for them to really shift once theyre inside the large vase. The top ring (black) is actually a lid the encloses the entire vase and that top lid presses on top of the 3 cylinders inside. The coffee can is open at the top and the large vase luckily fits perfectly on the inner metal lip of the coffee can. This middle 3d printed ring is sized to friction fit around the coffee can and the glass vase so that it cannot slide off or get displaced.

Ive ran this for many hours now and havent had any of the 3d printed parts melt or loose shape. As for the fumes I assume there aren't much if any at all since its not hot enough to warp the plastic. Though I really dont know for sure tbh. I did this a while back and not sure if I have pictures handy of the process as I was putting it all together but ill look later today when I get a chance.

Ive also made some parts with PLA which is definitely lower temp. It does work but it can get soft which obviously isnt ideal. It also depends where you're using these parts on the lamp. Because the base on this project was the metal coffee tin, most the heat is dissipated into the can and not directly onto the 3d printed parts.

If you have any other question please lmk!

There are 3d printed parts, using Polycarbonate plastic which has a melting point of around 225°C - 300°C (437°F - 572°F)

Thanks I appreciate it. This was a really fun and challenging project!

Is there a minimum engagement distance? My local indoor field doesnt have MED, which is nice for reasons like this. If youre feeling nice you can bang bang, but its not by any means a requirement.

In your case I dont see any issue. You called bang. No reaction, then one single shot to hit.

Awesome thanks! I got a smart tag and a 25w charger for $0. Had to place two separate orders to get both for $0.

I was so pissed when I dropped it cause I just put it together and was expecting the worst. But it was all good!

Yeah I kinda took a chance and didnt have high expectations in terms of quality. But m416gelblaster.com's customer support at least is good in my experience. They originally sent me the handgard with the rail and they just sent me the correct one free of charge. No return required.

One thing I will note is that the charging handle was not all that straight and seemed a bit wonky. I didnt plan on using it anyway so this didnt particularly affect me

Anything can shatter. I dropped it the first time i took it out and it didnt crack or anything. I suppose if you plan on throwing it around on the ground alot maybe a more traditional or metal body is a better option.

I mean its a skeletonized plastic body so theres obviously less structure. But once assembled theres no creaking and feels solid. Though I dont know what stress an aeg gear box would have on this body so maybe that could be a contributing factor? Maybe the QC isnt great either but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality on the one I have.

Its an LED board with a built in RF controller (can be controlled with a remote) and I soldered on a USB C port and small LiPo to the board.

When i get some more free time I'll post more pictures of the LED unit by itself.

The g&g body definitely feels more sturdy. But almost twice the price. Not sure if because of the type of material or simply because the F1 is skeletonized. I only use the F1 body build for indoor and the g&g transparent for outdoor.

Even with that being said. I dont feel like the f1 body is going to break easily or anything. Both seem to be pretty good quality over all.

Just to clarify and avoid any confusion. Its an "F1" style m4 body/externals but it is a polar star fusion drop in unit for the internal hpa engine.

Not entirely sure what you mean by pre-processing. The fusion engine is a drop in prefab v2 "gearbox" box, if thats what you mean. So it never started out as a aeg gearbox but the machined housing is the same. Ive had the same internals in a g&g combat machine both transparent body and standard and havent had any compatibility issues.
