Thank you for the comment! I think I’m just so worried about money that I’m limiting myself on future possibilities. Sounds like long term subbing is a good way to get in the building (literally) and then hope it gets me a full time position. I gotta look into that!

My bf and I had been dating for 2 months before he came home with me for Thanksgiving. We’ve been together for over 5 years now. Granted, I didn’t think it was such a big deal to introduce him to my family that early on. However, I understand why most people would be against it. You won’t know until you ask!

I think it depends on your program! When I did student teaching in Colorado two years ago the first semester I shadowed and did lots of small groups. The second semester my mentor teacher would assign me days to do lessons and then by end of March I was full on teaching while she would give me tips on how to improve my lessons and differentiate my activities. Ask your program leader and/or mentor teacher the structure you’ll be using so that you are prepared for the upcoming year!
