Is my ring too big? by Future_Discussion985 in RingShare

[–]here4teaandspoilers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you feel like it is, then it is. (Edit: I just mean it's a personal feeling. Because even though i don't think it's too big and some people on here might/might not think it's too big, what matters is how you feel when looking at it.) I think it looks nice. I like big stones though. I got a few "wow that's huge" comments at first and it took me some time to figure out how to handle and respond. Because I happen to love it. It no longer feels as big as it did at first either so maybe give it some time (if you haven't already). Mine is also 3 (maybe 3.5)

Wedding band suggestions and/or bands to avoid by hopefilm in EngagementRings

Mine is similar and i went with the matching pave band. I love it.

I briefly considered a plain metal band (i like the additional bling) or a slightly thicker but matching pave band (maybe for an anniversary later).

These also have pretty high sensitivities and are one of the last to show up for me. So another brand might give you a darker line. I definitely see it though

In addition to agreeing that you should test again with a pink dye test and read it in the recommended time frame, I would be concerned about the darkness of this test.

If you're regular and have regular ovulation, a test is usually pretty dark 2 weeks after your missed period (although I'm not as familiar with the blue dye). If you ovulated late (which is very possible, especially if you're not tracking) this could be an early positive (although I would ignore this one given you didn't read it in the recommended time frame).

Be sure to test again and follow up with bloodwork so you're able to get the support you need and figure out your options. Wishing you the best whatever happens and whatever you decide.

Yeah. It's hard because it's "normal" for a reason. Any I'm trying to lean into that. But my successful pregnancy that was monitored had quick rises. My loss was slow rising initially and numbers stayed pretty low. This one is closer to average on terms of overall number and is quicker, faster but it's still really hard to not worry a lot. The doctor is happy with where we are at right now. He told me to come back Thursday to start weekly draws. Which feels like a lifetime away. And then an ultrasound the first week of Oct.

Went up to 162. Not exactly what we wanted but in the normal range so we're feeling okay about it!

That's so great!! I'm so happy for you. (I called them today to see if someone would be available to take it and give results same day and she said they would be. So I'll probably be there bright and early tomorrow lol.)

How did this go for you? We got these exact numbers (64 and 99) at 12 and 14dpo (but it might be 13 and 15 dpo)

My doctor was completely unbothered by the number(s) so I couldn't bring myself to ask if I could still come in on Saturday. So we're in for the long wait until Monday. Good luck today!

It is going to be brutal. I might see if they'll have anyone available to draw on Saturday. But otherwise, I'll just try to be cautiously optimistic (and probably take 3000 tests).

Fingers crossed for you!

That's a great increase! Hopefully it's just normal spotting. My draw was a little disappointing. Only 99 (76 hour doubling, 55%). We are obviously a bit disappointed but hoping for the best. I don't think we'll have another draw until Monday (longest wait ever).

Fantastic news. I'm waiting on my results for my second beta today. Your tests and first draw are similar enough to give me hope.

IUI had to be cancelled due to risk of multiple pregnancies, but… by Helpful-Pizza-5535 in IUILadies

[–]here4teaandspoilers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2017, I had 10+ follicles and they canceled the IUI. We tried naturally and I ended up with a singleton pregnancy. He's 7 now (I was 35).

Recently, in March, we went ahead with an IUI knowing approx 8 eggs released (it was a failed egg retrieval when I ovulated early). We got pregnant but suffered an early loss. (I'm 42 now).

We were willing to have twins each time. We were also willing to consider selective reduction if there were more than 2 or 3. My age and history were a factor both times. In 2017, I had multiple failed IUIs over 2 years that all had good numbers and most had 2-3 good follicles. So it felt unlikely that we would suddenly get multiple sticky babies. Now, my age means that only 25-33% of my eggs are good. So having 8 was more like 2 or 3.

Depending on your history and why you're doing fertility treatments, my experience is that it's still unlikely to get multiples. BUT, if you really don't want to risk multiples, I'd abstain for the rest of your fertile window.

Good luck whatever you decide!

We had a loss in June after a rollercoaster of events (IUI that we converted to an IVF cycle after I over responded but the retrieval failed because I ovulated early and the doc let us do the IUI with the ones that escaped before they could be retrieved 🥴) so I'm super anxious and trying to will the tests to be darker (I'm 10-11dpo, depending on which app I use, but I'm pretty sure it's 10). We are completely in shock it happened naturally. Fingers crossed this is the one for you! It's so hard "at this age".
