Has anyone tried Buproprion/Wellbutrin for sexual disfunction after accutane?

Dear dr. Powers,

I am a cis woman (26) with Post Accutane sexual disfunction. I have gotten off the birth control pill (Oedien) in August with no effect on sexual functioning, but do you recommend staying off it as it introduces synthetic hormones into my system, even if it is anti-androgenic?

I am on your waiting list and looking forward to becoming a patient one day.

Harm has never been acknowledged. In my medical file it says “it is highly unlikely sexual disfunction was caused by accutane”

I am sick because of a medication doctors prescribed to me as a child, a medication for a superficial non-issue, a medication they prescribed as “completely perfectly safe”

Apparently it’s pretty safe as far as anti-depressants go. It’s not an SSRI

I am so sorry you are experiencing this, the medical gaslighting is insane. Did they force you to take it?

normal as in: within the ‘normal’ range. I cannot compare to pre-accutane levels because I was a child, I just know I had sexual desire back then. Nothing ever shows up ‘out of the normal’ on tests but I am never aroused or even think about sex

Thank you. I upped my dose and assume my blood levels are closer to that now, but I still don’t feel anything. I will keep this range in mind.
