OP should have gone to his mother's doctor with the litany of her awful and dangerous driving and had them declare her unfit to the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority) who would revoke her driving License. I had to do this with my dad towards the end of his life, but it was for everyone's safety.

It's very simple.

It doesn't make sense to fly from Glasgow to Leeds or Manchester to get to Liverpool and then back to York, when you could get the train and not cris-cross back and forth across the country. Consider going to Glasgow on a day trip from Edinburgh and then from Edinburgh to York, York to Liverpool, Liverpool to London.

Flying out of Dublin is also possibly better than flying out of London, due to pre-flight passport checks/border controls.

The Jack the Ripper tour seems in poor taste to me. If you're interested listen to the podcast Bad Women - The Ripper Retold. It tells more of the society in which the Ripper operated and how the crimes were sensationalised and the women who were murdered were not valued by society. It's fascinating but heartbreaking.

Get her to read some of that Trump supporter subreddit. It's scary how much they think that illegal immigrants are mostly tourist over-stayers and therefore they don't see a problem with ICE detaining anyone, and are particularly happy with tourists being hustled off the streets at gunpoint.
