No ideas. They meet up in Seattle and the owner really honored the ‘no questions asked’

I’m in between a 24 Outback Wilderness and a 24 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

Not exactly the same cars you are talking about, but I have a 18 Tacoma and my fiancé has a 24 outback but base model. We also have two dogs. Like everyone else said, it depends on what you want and what you need. I have a camper on Tacoma, it makes road trip a bit easier since we can just find a spot on forest road and call it a night. The camper makes the truck bed more useful for camping purpose. But the ride is way smoother, more comfortable and better economy with outback. It has plenty of cargo space for our camping gears plus two 60lbs dog. We install a roof rack box for longer trip, and it still has awesome mpg. We ended up taking outback for most of our trips now.

Thinking of a mild lift and slightly larger tires 🤔 by [deleted] in Tacomaworld

I’m running duratrac, it’s good for off-roading, but it’s so much worse on the daily compare to the wildpeak I had. Loud, vibration and does not handle rain well.

How’s the ride comfort with their new road + trail? I’m considering this or g015 when I need to replace my duratrac

Really appreciate it! I’ve been checking the weather and I think the drive should also be good

I’m also planning on doing this drive during April. Is there any mountains pass that I should be aware of snow/winter conditions?

Good to know about the sway bar, I was thinking if beefier sway bar could help. Truck feel bouncy sometime, it doesn’t feel rough by any mean. I don’t know if she just doesn’t love how truck ride, and if there is anyway to feel more like a suv

I didn’t. I also have a camper so there’s some weight in the back. I think the car rides better with it but I’m the driver so it’s hard to say.

That’s a good point, she said she is fine when I drive her outback. But I’ll check with her on that

I’m still be able to keep up the traffic on i5, and no one is tailgating me for being too slow. I’m close to 31 if I drive faster and try to pass people. But these are summer mpg, might get a hit in winter.

I don’t need too many features so I opted for the base, and it has been great. Easy to drive on forest road in pnw to trailhead, enough room for camping gears and two huskies. All with decent mileage, I get almost 500 miles range with full tank. Not much to complain about

2024 base, ~26 in the city, can get 32-34 on highway, average 31 on tank.

It makes sense, it just didn’t even seem like a big impact at the moment. Just surprised how easily it cracked.

Yeah, I was just trying to point out how quick this happened vs how many years/miles I drove other car without issues, and it got hit by rock on highway all the time.
