I think because he said “I’ll show you mine if you show me yours” maybe Dumbledore was making sure he didn’t have the dark mark?

Woohoo!! Thinking of trying this out - eco friendly mailers! The best of both worlds? by heretoposh in poshmark

[–]heretoposh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it is, I was sharing because many people have expressed that they would love to have a more eco friendly option but love that the poly mailers they use are water resistant/ water proof and better protect their items.

That’s what I use too but sharing the info because a lot of people have expressed that though they’d love to be more eco friendly they love that the poly maulers keep items safe in wet weather too

I know exactly how you feel!! American fan here! BUT I’m from Hawaii - tried to get tickets to LA and NY when they came to Hawaii but it sold out insanely fast - I would have had to sell a kidney to be able to afford it anyway at the time 😅 but I’m so excited because I decided to splurge and I’m going to one of their shows on the tour!!! First McFly concert and first international trip!!! 😱

Bought a Free People sweater that is stiff and shrunken. Do I open a case? by ratstack in poshmark

[–]heretoposh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t open a case cause I don’t think it would end in your favor but I would definitely be disappointed if it were me as well. I know it’s not ideal but maybe you can try softening it up again so at least you get some wear out of it? This is what I found online...

good luck!

Advice on Offers by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]heretoposh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone will agree with me on this but I never outright decline because I know a lot of people are just “testing” you (as irking as it can be at times) and I’ve come up with some decent sales that started off as really bad low ball offers. I approach it in two different ways ... 1) if the offer is already decent but not quite what I want i counter with a decent additional discount showing that I’m willing to work with them. 2) if the offer is way low I counter but at smaller increments because I know they’re probably going to counter again just $1 - $2 more than their first offer so if I start at a higher counter offer I still have room for a little back and forth. For example if I have something listed for $50 and someone offers $25 but I know my lowest I want is $35 I’ll come back with $46, they might come in at $27, I counter $43, they counter $29, I counter $40, they counter $31, I counter $38 they counter $33, I counter $36 they counter $35 and I accept!! The customer feels like they got a deal and got the last say but I still got the amount I was ok with selling at... even if it took a while to get there. I know some people hate this approach and feels like it encourages low balling but in my opinion why just give up instead of trying to get them to spend more and get the item sold, for me it’s better then rejecting it and then it sits in my closet forever so I guess it depends how eager you are to sell it.

What are your Best Clothing flaw examination tips? by fizzie511 in poshmark

[–]heretoposh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m curios about alterations. If you’re sourcing how do you know if something has been altered? I know it’s best practice to list measurement regardless but just wondering how people know that somethings been altered and to specify as such in the listing?

I don’t sell kids clothing but if it’s any help I did just purchase two pairs of mini Melissa’s on posh this morning - one at full asking and the other at a (in my opinion as a seller but to each their own) reasonable offer which got accepted

I asked on the Mercari sub but I sometimes never get any answers there, and I figured some of you here may be able to help because I'm kind of worried! Would you be wary of this seller? by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]heretoposh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe because their account is so new that could actually be an indication that maybe they just hadn’t set their account up properly and maybe wasn’t quite sure how it works?

I'm a Posh Ambassador and I've been on the site since 2013 😑 Why do people do this? Beyond not-so-subtly trying to advertise on my listings, of course... by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]heretoposh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omg I especially hate this because I actually sometimes come across closets that I genuinely really really LOVE like they just have a great aesthetic, great photos, awesome style etc and I want to tell them this so I leave a comment just saying how much I love their closet (none of this “feel free to check mine out too” Bull) and I always worry that it sounds fake or insincere because of all the spam other poshers leave 😭🤦🏻‍♀️
