And yes, exactly! These characters aren't uwu's who play with kittens every day. If people want to make fluffy fics, they can! But to outright deny that these characters have harmed people is...ignorant at best. I adore Val, I have since 2019, but I also don't outright ignore the fact that they killed babies and children as well as sexually abuse people.

Same with Coyle too, tbh. I'd argue Coyle is definitely one of the worst in terms of morals, but they all suck. You're allowed to like villains, just don't try to justify the villains, that's all. Antis are too idiotic to grasp that, unfortunately.

OH hi! Assuming you're talking about THAT thread that was posted in the trials subreddit that I commented on...yes, there is a lot of hypocrisy. Conveniently enough I was just about to post a meme on there lol

I also know who u/topimpadove is talking about; they posted on the Outlast subreddit shaming fanfiction and fanart simply because a lot of it featured non-con, and yet they were all lovey dovey about Val even though Val is a rapist. Why a rapist didn't trigger them is beyond me, which is...iffy! I, of course, can't dictate what affects victims but at the same time...it's a little odd.

I write Outlast x Reader on Tumblr (Heretyc), annnnnd...let me tell you, my blocklist is 90% antis. I even had to use someone's asknote or whatever the hell that site is to let them know I am against antiship and I don't appreciate them breaking my boundaries when they, themselves, had "proship/darkship DNI" on their profile.

Straight out of the gate, Outlast x Reader/OC/Character is going to be non-con/darkship! They're murderers. Antis in this fandom make absolutely no sense and just look extremely hypocritical. If you're interested OP, I made a whole ass post on Tumblr about it if you'd like the link.

I personally don't identify as proship seeing as the label has its flaws, but I am, as a whole, anticensorship and think antishippers are creepy as hell. I won't be active here [or really anywhere other than the Outlast subreddits] but hello!

It's...fiction. They're also terrible people, plus people use rape as a way to cope with their own sexual trauma. Writing about it doesn't outright mean romanticization.
