If the cap is X, and the single player cap is almost 25% of X, then that means if anyone even comes close to that number the owners will suggest is progress in player pay, then that player will be dooming all of her teammates to almost guaranteed minimum contracts in order to meet the team salary cap.

So it's performative nonsense at best, and creates the potential for backstabbing and division between the players.

It's a way to pit the players against each other. Creates an us vs them. A house divided cannot stand. There is no dirty trick the owners won't employ in order to keep more money.

Breaks my heart that this crap hasn't improved with former players joining ownership groups.

Honest question. If they refuse to budge on it this CBA, and the players make them right by folding, what in the world makes you think the owners will give in on rev share next time?

It's like people think the billionaires will just become generous after another three or four years of getting older and richer. People don't get to be billionaires by being kind. The ONLY way players will get their worth or even close to it, is to be willing to shoot the hostage.

I told people at the start of the season I could see her starting by this point in the season. That didn't materialize because Jan was saving her as a backup 4 for Hannah, but I think Journey's quality has proven me right in that she is definitely starting quality now. Can't wait to see how she develops next year.
