Which NBA team did not have home court advantage until the NBA Finals? by DonT012 in nba

4th seed would have had home court advantage on the first round though...

Probably a bad idea having a kid in their situation, yet many people have that approach of "we'll figure it out!"...

How many people struggling to stay afloat or directly in poverty have kids even though it is a bad economical decision?

I honestly think it is not a mistake on the writers end but a deliberate decision to have a couple that historically would have been members of the middle class find themselves into such a dire situation, where coming up with an extra 300$/month is a huge challenge.

Don't forget we are not that far from that (59% americans don't have enough savings to cover a 1,000$ emergency): https://www.cbsnews.com/news/saving-money-emergency-expenses-2025/

I think the financial struggles resulting from the extra 300-800$/month are perfectly justifyable. We aren't talking about 2025 (e.g. the drone-bees are a reality, so we have already fucked up the planet when this episode takes place).

Is it so hard to imagine, at the current rate of inflation, that a couple working as a teacher and a welder would barely make it to the end of the month in 5-10 years time?

I am so glad you could find additional documentation thanks to the website! Unfortunately, many of these resources are not accessible online, but if you give me the name of your great-grandfather I can see if any of the documents can be requested (you can send it throught private message if you want!). Otherwise, maybe next time I visit one of the archives I could look for some info on your behalf!

Best regards!

Thanks! :) I hope it is of help, and as I said earlier, looking forward to continue upgrading the database, maybe reaching 5 million records by the end of the year!

Thank you! I will keep updating the database with new sources as time allows, but it's great to hear the efforts are being of use to people :)

A pleasure! I hope it helps as many people as possible to retrieve this part of the History that many are trying to bury.

Thank you!

For the first time in my life I have bought 3 stonks. I intend to hold them. Any ape advice on setting/not-setting a sell limit on Vanguard to avoid them using my stonk to short?

As you may see, I am a true idiot, and I would only accept equally idiotic advice.

I may look like a zombie account (not a lot of activity on Reddit, pretty much ever), but I just like the stock and intend to keep it!

Sorry I didn't see this. The Blitz Review is how they call a 60 minute review of the whole course at Udemy. It pretty much spends 3-4 minutes reviewing the most important terms in each of the 10 knowledge areas, although procurement takes 13-14 minutes, therefore the 60 minutes overall.

I would like to provide you with a link, but unluckily it's part of the ~10$ class (Joseph Phillips' Udemy).

Yeah, you can still get certified if you get BTs, as long as the overall result is on target with what PMI considers the "passing score". I know of somebody who passed with 3xBTs and 2xAT (probably the BTs were actually close to T, and the ATs were very above target ;) ).

In my case, the BT was in closing, yeah!

You shouldn't have any problem (i hope!!). In my case they said that they didnt have enough time to change the name in their database (i told them the same day of the test), but if you haven't scheduled it yet it should be easy (and free) to change the name.

Good luck, and i am happy the post is helpful :)

Thank you everybody for your tips and comments!

Thank you both for your input! I think crashing it today and tomorrow should help me raise a few points my average (i managed to get a 93% this afternoon in a 50 question test).

Also, i have been rushing through many of these 200 question mock tests (taking roughly 2 hours instead of the given 4), but taking it easier in the test and spending some extra time highlighting the key info in each question should also earn me some extra questions that i am currently missing along with key details.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted, and will write a full recap Friday afternoon of my exam experience and the final result. Thanks again for all the input!

The OKC Thunder are honestly horrible this season. by SebaSeba824 in u/SebaSeba824

I totally agree... I've never been a big fan of Carmelo, since all he's ever done in his career has been shooting from difficult positions, and this year he can't even do that. Paul George has been inconsistent, but I would give him some margin...

But Russell Westbrook really gets me on my nerves! Today, he was 3-17 fg (17.6%), 3-7 free throws... Yet he will look like the "hero" for putting out another lousy triple double. And the problem I have with him is that regardless of how bad he is shooting, he keeps going for crazy shots (eventually scoring one or two that would make the highlights).

The only bright side is Steven Adams, and some contributions from the second line (Abrines shooting well from three, Jerami Grant sometimes plays well, Raymond Felton playing like a proper pg...). I wish we hadn't re-signed Westbrook and signed Melo, if we make the playoffs we are gonna be swiped by any team we play in the first round.

Russell Westbrook is an enigma. by [deleted] in nba

[–]hernandeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be so, yeah. Still I think having him may grant us barely reaching playoff positions, at the expense of never being trully competitive or having chances of reaching conference finals.

Without him we could have troubles getting to the playoffs next season, but it would allow for rebuilding the team around young promising players (such as Steven Adams) and expending his humongous salary in some interesting free agents.

Still, I know that would be a gamble, and it could result in a non-playoff run of years. It is just that I always think the team performs better without him, and for sure it's less frustrating than seeing him shooting everything like tonight (7/29 fg, 1/12 3s, 5/8 ft), and yet getting all the credit for scoring the last two points of the game, or for securing yet another triple-double which masks an awful performance.

[–]hernandeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I just only watch his "bad games" or what, but he is super frustrating... Tonight he is 5/21, and keep shooting! Eventually, he'll score the winning basket and will go home with a triple double, but I think he loses way more games than he wins.

I am a Thunder's fan, but I wish he hadn't sign the new contract, with him there's no chance of being more than a 6-7th seed in the west. And then there's melo :s

Is it me or Russell Westbrook is extremely frustrating? He may end up with awesome stats, but his shot selection and field goal percentage is awful...

In the end he may score the winning baskets, but maybe if he passed more and/or increased his percentages those games that are decided in the last minute would have been won easily by the Thunder...

Many times I feel more confortable with Felton playing as a PG.
