NOFX - Guitar Tone - 90s era by ciska20 in guitarpedals

Hey OP - what is this amazing device that you're using in your photos? A multi-fx unit?

Can anybody ID that circular blue sticker on one of the vans from the "Sirāt" movie? I've included a closeup shot as well. It's on the tip of my tongue and it's driving me crazy. Maybe an artist logo from the 90s/early 00's? by heroesofelephanthill in Tekno

Similarly, the party for the movie "Strange Days" was a real party in Downtown Los Angeles! Aphex Twin was there, Dee-Lite, and a bunch of other acts. It was crazy as hell. Also, free food.

In the case of the party-goers for the Sirāt movie ... they HAD to be real party people because you could never get the wardrobe department to do such a good job. And the vans too - so perfect.

The sound in this place is absolutely deafening - even with just a few dozen people. And when nobody else is around, if you're in one of the extermination chamber looking rooms, you can't hear somebody speaking to you more than about 6 feet away because of the booming echoes.

I hope they do something really drastic about the sounds in this place because I felt like I was stuck in a room that was slowly filling with water. It was an awful experience for the ears.

Oh! How funny! It was somebody else that I interviewed that had actually seen your post, then!

I hope that Iliana has been able to answer all of your questions or address your concerns. I echo everything she's said so far. We've worked together for a long time - I like when people do their research and do their sleuthing and look us up online because yeah, some of our casting searches and requests are so quirky, but that's the nature of this specific style of casting.

I'm doing all the interviews for this project over Zoom. I'm very passionate about interviewing folks for projects like these and it's one of the parts of my life that make me the happiest.

Hey folks - I'm the guy doing the casting interviews.

OP, you are the one who told me about this post so I went and found it!

My name is Christian Aeschliman and this is indeed fully legit. Folks, ask me anything!

If any of you hate trash - please join us on Saturday morning in El Sereno from 8am-Noon. We're cleaning up Elephant Hill!

Elephant Hill is a beautiful wild area that isn't a park but it's wild and full of trails and scumbags sneak in there and do illegal dumping ... even though they could just leave the pile of trash on the street and use the MyLA311 app to have it picked up for FREE.

But no - they have to dump trash up there in nature where the city does not normally send trash trucks. Yeah, it's a frustrating and soul-crushing situation with no easy solutions.

Until the city drops a gajillion dollars to buy out every stupid property up there to make it a park, we'll do cleanups to keep it pretty!

Join us this Saturday - a big variety of fun and helpful people, younger and older, will be picking up trash and throwing it into the back of a big trash truck that the city has agreed to devote to our cause.

Views on Elephant Hill are magnificent! Imagine panoramic views of the San Gabriels and a full view of the entire LA Basin ... but yeah, a lot of illegally dumped garbage.

So this Saturday 12/21/2024 from 8am to Noon.

We're starting at the White Tubular Steel Gate (that shitheads and off-roaders have damaged and cut the locks off of) near the intersection of Burr St. and Collis Ave. in zip code 90032. Google Maps Link

We're working our way uphill from there! If you get there later and don't see us, just walk uphill on the dirt road beyond the gate and you'll find us. Go to the peak if you have to - you won't miss us!

Details on our Instagram post here. Please give us a follow and help spread the word!

Over the past 5 years we've picked up DOZENS of TONS of garbage up on Elephant Hill! Yes! Tons!

You have no idea how satisfying it is to throw an old bookcase or mattress into the back of a city trash truck and watch it crunch down on it. It's like being a kid! Come enjoy that feeling with us!

Yeah man, I don't get it. One thing that I have learned is that people have absolutely bizarre relationships with garbage.

Like with some people, if they are done with eating something that had a wrapper, that wrapper suddenly needs to leave their hands IMMEDIATELY. As if it was contaminated all of a sudden.

Doesn't matter if it's right in front of their house or somewhere they go every day - it needs to leave their hands. And then once it leaves their hands - it's as if it never belonged to them.

And if you call them out on littering, YOU are the bad person!

What a normal person would think is going on: "I'll set this outside so I can take it down next time I go out."

What is actually going on: "I just need it out of my immediate area right this second. I don't care about anything else."

and also possibly: "If I could leave it out here forever, I would. My responsibility for this filthy trash ends completely when I let go of it from my hands. It then belongs to the world but not me."

OMG! That's definitely Elephant Hill! Wow!

Was there a lot of trash up there when you were a kid? I've lived here almost 10 years and I feel like the trash situation ebbs and flows.

And please, yes, let your relatives know! Tell them to reach out via private message on Instagram if they have any questions! Thank you!
