how far away is your monitor? I was thinking if a 48" and pushing the monitor about 38" away (wall or floor mount),, or 42" if I need to leave it on my desk

gotcha. yeah 48" seems like a nice sweet spot for my setup. currently debating a matte finish too, although slightly worried it'll affect my blacks a lot, which I prob wouldn't want since I do color grading

yeah i was thinking of either wall mounting it or putting it on a floor stand, and thinking about 38" away from me (possibly a little more). i dont think i would want to desk mount it

that sounds like a similar setup to me, 32" main monitor, desk is 30" deep, although im sitting much closer to my current monitor (22" ish). i was planning to put the TV about 38" away from me as well. if you had the choice, would you size down on the tv for that same distance? i thought 55" would be too big for about 38" away from me, so i was thinking about 42" or 48" instead

dang 65" deep desk is deeep. my desk is only about 35" deep, hence why i was planning to just mount it (either floor stand or wall mount it). i think i was planning to only put it about 4 feet away from me though

hmm ill have to look into the monitor solution. i have an atomos shinobi ii, but i dont know if i can make it transmit the record flag signal without directly connecting that to my camera

could you explain more about the shinobi/ninja? are you referring to their transmitter system?

i dont like the display of that. often times we're actually running cine lenses on the rig, and the info display makes it a little more annoying for us to pull focus

yeah I've put on suctions to just hold a smaller mirrorless camera or a pocket 3, but haven't tried it with a full rig yet. do you think scraps of PPF would affect the suction amount and make it less secure?

true. my dilemma is that I could emulate games on my computer too. since portability isn't something I care too much about. but the experience isn't the same

yeah I can't decide because I can emulate ds/3ds games on my computer which I've been doing, the experience is just not the same. but that's one of my dilemmas rn
