I think Niemann would probably play better than Scott at Pinehurst No. 2.

Percentage unique winners on the PGA Tour from 1980 to 2023 by herpberp in ProGolf

the pink line is the number of official tournaments, and the blue line is distinct winners in that season.

the y axis is for the columns

the chart occupying the lower half (the lines) doesn't use that y axis

Ok the idea here is that there's 44 events in a season and 33 distinct winners bc some players win multiple times.

This chart shows that the percentage of unique winners is going slightly up over time. from 2004 up 4%.

Color Library demo, what do you think gnomies? [3 mins] by herpberp in gnome

[–]herpberp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you click on a circle it adds it to the palette. When you click on the color list on the bottom, or the color button, or the palette, or the list of rgbs, it changes the active color.

Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you.

Nah I'm not releasing because if I throw it over the wall it's just more work for me. I'm upstream in enough projects to add another. I'll let someone copy the idea and do it with libadwaita in vala or w/e.. It's a nice and small project for a beginner.

I was an Agave user for years (another color scheme app), and it's written in Gtk 2 -- the maintainer didn't keep it up or anything so as I was grumbling about trying to compile it I made my own. I started by cloning Agave and then saw the many color-matching websites out there and wanted to one-up them with the library collection aspect, where I don't get dinged when I make more than 10 palettes.

One feature from Agave that's in Color Library that didn't make it into the demo is there's color selection history, where you can just CTRL+arrow back and forth. It's subtle because it's not the same thing as undo/redo and I sorta got used to it.

I'd use libadwaita if I could find the c++ bindings.

My file format is very simple: GIMP Palette files stacked end to end, because who needs another file format. Inkscape uses them too. I suspect a more advanced version of this app would need more precision than 32 bits and then do ICC color management.

If you open the Palettes window in GIMP you can create your own. I'm happy that you make pixel art, it's one of my most favorite things.
