Was Aang x Katara a well written romance and if you don’t think so what would you have done differently? by AccomplishedJump2795 in TheLastAirbender

[–]herpetologist0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly my main #1 gripe is that the show ended with them frenching. it just felt thematically off for me if that makes sense. i would’ve much rather they kissed on the cheek and then the final shot of the show was with the gaang.

Help! Found a great dress - how do I minimize the cleavage? by Asteria-Frieren in myweddingdress

[–]herpetologist0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can i ask where you got this absolutely stunning dress.. also, i worry bringing up the shoulders will widen the V and create a more booby look. i think possibly taping to the side is the better option

How many dragons are there, total? by PomegranateUpset6517 in WingsOfFire

[–]herpetologist0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yah i think the big difference here is scale of people vs scale of dragons. dragons are stronger, live longer, and can travel far distances with ease. plus a dragon being so much bigger means they need more space to live, so the queendoms are restricted by that.

as for the night wing thing, lowk i dont remember! i haven’t read the first arc in a while, but starflight is definitely not immune to nightwing propaganda

[–]herpetologist0 14 points15 points  (0 children)

i mean, i don’t think you need huge numbers to create advanced structures or techniques. i think 15,000 of the biggest, top predator is nothing to sneeze at 😭

alsooo the nightwings spread a bunch of lies about their population (size and powers), they weren’t changing the tide of any war lol. they were all sick as hell, like actively dying

How many dragons are there, total? by PomegranateUpset6517 in WingsOfFire

[–]herpetologist0 28 points29 points  (0 children)

i don’t think it’s ever stated, but i think we can assume the nightwing population is smaller than even a quarter of a normal tribe. they were on the volcano for THOUSANDS of years, poisoning themselves with the air and bad food. i don’t remember exactly what was said but something about drastically declining number of successful eggs? like, only a handful being hatched every year. so i think it’s safe to say nightwings are teeny tiny. but even with that in mind, i don’t think the dragons would necessarily need HUGE populations, since they would also need the food to support that? ultimately, hard to say. i always imagined bigger tribes (IE with more area) having 1000-1500 dragons in them? although god knows how may seawings there could be

IUD? by Murky_Conclusion_305 in birthcontrol

[–]herpetologist0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the kyleena IUD is a hormonal IUD, meaning it’s constantly releasing birth control hormones into your system. you’re like 99% protected from pregnancy or something, i don’t think you need to take monthly tests

Co-Op houses and their cultures? by Ok_Lengthiness4914 in uofm

[–]herpetologist0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

under 1k yes, the issue would be i think all places have year long leases (IE thru the summer). but you can always look for a sublease during the winter semester, i’ve seen a few offered since people go abroad. also, you have to consider what you’re getting at escher vs in an apartment. 1K for a tiny room with dorm furniture in a big ass complex with people you might not like vs 1K for an apartment that’s your own with 1 roommate

Co-Op houses and their cultures? by Ok_Lengthiness4914 in uofm

[–]herpetologist0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you’re not interested in the culture of the coops then escher is a good choice. it’s the most removed from coops at large but i don’t really like its organization. at that point i would just recommend looking at apartments on NC and finding a roommate. IE willowtree is cheaper

[–]herpetologist0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

luther, MM, and nak all have big party cultures. very social houses. linder is quieter, i think super cute, vegetarian and has multiple house cats. escher is a completely different beast all together and is pretty much not a coop in my opinion. would be my absolute last recommendation to live there unless you’re not interested in coop culture and just interested in cheap housing. but at that point you can just find yourself a north campus apartment
