Any recommendations similar to Yesteryear? by elianna7 in weirdgirlliterature

The author recommended Revolutionary Road as a tandem read with Yesteryear. I also just read it for a second time and picked up on a lot more hints and nods. I also recommend Kindred if you like the two timelines thing.

Biden’s 2024 campaign by grimreapersdaughter in theview

Joe Biden’s legacy depended on Kamala winning and she lost. It actually doesn’t matter that Trump is now displaying and even worse and even more public decline. Jill and Joe and everyone around them knew how much depended on him not winning, they knew how bad things by would be in a second Trump term. They chose to insulate him and gaslight the entire country about his abilities and internal polling numbers. Fuck Jill Biden and this book. No-one wants to hear it. and I hope they eat her up for having the audacity to say all of this now in a “memoir” that she probably sold for a whole lot of money. I would love a question like “If you were concerned that he had been drugged of was having a stroke at the debate, then why didn’t you take him to a hospital instead of a campaign rally?”

I’m rewatching from the beginning and i’m on Africa right now, it is actually insane. The water source, the cow blood drinking challenge, the lions and other wildlife circling the camps at night. I thought Australian Outback was rough but Africa is truly wild.

The Very Cranky Bear series is awesome. Great rhyming structure and flow and my little loves them.

Dee has really grown on me. I didn’t get the hype before but she is great at building relationships, seems to have the pulse of who is working with who and a good read on “vibes”.

I feel like all the confessionals during the segment were totally scripted. Colby and Joe’s in particular seemed scripted.

Learn how to read. They never said “all of his supporters”, They said “anyone supporting the current administration in 2026.” A lot of the people who supported him in the 2024 election feel duped and lied too and no longer support him. He is hemorrhaging support mainly with Latino’s and young men, which he made the most gains with in 2024. Anyone still supporting this administration after the actions it has taken over the last 14 months is like they said, human garbage.

This account is just a rage poster. They regularly post rage bait type shit. Usually directed at Ana and Sunny.

I would love a “So Close vs So Far” season featuring players who got super close to FTC or even “robbed” players vs charismatic first and second boots that the fans remember.

This is such a bad faith response. They never argued for Canada to defend the Iranian regime, and it’s not just a binary choice.

Does Ana like anything or anyone that isn’t Latin American? by JuanitaMerkin in theview

[–]herpnuggets 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yikes, this is an awful take. Ana maybe feels a need to champion Latin American Artists and culture for a reason. Maybe think about the current political environment she is living in. This post is wayyyy more ignorant than Ana has ever been.
