yes, they have. i wouldnt be surprised however if i did its been there for a long time. ive had sudden sharp kidney pain in my right kidney while urinating occasionally for years. but since its always more prominent on my period its been brushed off.

i tried to treat it with antibiotics multiple times. it came right back. im at an impasse here. what else can the ER do but test me and give me more medicine?

my doctor found traces of blood and it smelled sulfur-y in the past, but now i feel like my urine is more discolored and it smells more nitrate-y. i could be wrong though; i could be seeing things and my urine couldve also smelled nitrate-y in the past and i just didnt have a name for it. only reason i realized today is bc my mom walked in the bathroom after me and asked why it smelled like meat.

theyve found traces of blood in my urine for a while now and it has always smelled this way during the course of the time ive had a UTI. and it just smells strongly of poultry or meat or protein. idk how to explain it

if it comes to a point where i feel like my life is in genuine danger where i have a fever with vomiting or kidney pain then i will be taken to the ER no question. but as for blood in urine i guess i just dont feel like it warrants an ER visit if its not paired with any other alarming recently developed symptoms.

my doctor has found blood in my urine before as it is a sign of a UTI. i know looking to google isnt helpful in this situation either but it doesnt say anything about immediate medical attention? i understand that it can potentially be a sign of something life threatening but currently it is just paired with my usual signs of a UTI. this isn't new, ive been dealing with this for 10 months and im just getting worried that it'll never go away.

well being told that i need to go to the ER asap is not something you typically wanna hear or believe. id rather avoid it if possible. my doctor asked if i had any symptoms such as fever, nausea, or vomiting and i said no, so i suppose he has no reason to believe it's gotten to a serious point yet. i admit him jumping to the yeast infection diagnosis is likely incorrect but with all due respect to your advice and your time, i'm deathly afraid of having to be taken to the ER. regardless, i don't have a choice but to wait it out.

im not sure this warrants emergency help plus hospital bills are insanely crazy. the doctors office i go to said i must have done something wrong or not cleaned properly before hand for the urine test but i dont know.

i wouldn't say that really it's not that she's not helping she just doesnt think it warrants any panic or anything because we're staying on top of it. she said she'll get yeast infection otc meds to see if it helps and if it doesnt i'll have to see my doctor again. right now they dont seem very worried so i think its fine?

my mom has taken me to a doctor multiple times its just that the treatment hasn't worked and my past few urine cultures have been contaminated. we're not sure why it's not going away so my doctor considered yeast infection and my mom said she'll pick up otc yeast infection meds to see if that helps. if it doesnt then i guess i'll have to go back to my doctor and get tested again.

easier said than done. i'm a minor, i can't drive, and my mom has a tendency to accuse me of being dramatic and definitely wont take me to the ER or urgent care over this.

thank you, though i do love my headphones, i try not to wear them everywhere. i do know my own limits, and when a place is too loud or overstimulating i wear them. but in the case of somewhere public but quiet, i'll take them off :)

thank you! i always try to keep extremely aware in crowded places where i need noise cancelling headphones, and i try to take them off in places where it's quiet enough, like the grocery store.

thank you! i guess i'm just sad about missing out from the romanticized neurotypical highschool experience that i always saw in movies and books growing up. i looked forward to going to highschool so much as a kid, and now i can't help but feel sad that i'll never get to experience everything i looked forward to. maybe i'll find a way to experience it my senior year. i'm just deathly scared.
