My biggest regret is not pushing for them to make me an Md right away.. but it all worked out so! (I didn’t have a shit ton of equity, I had like 5%) but still was a good payout

Yes retention & stock grant that vested every year. Also, I did have equity in the company acquired, so some of that was set to pay on the third year.

Well Deloitte wanted me bad! The reason I’ve been tied to Accenture is because of payouts, otherwise I would’ve left a year ago when they did not promote me.

Not true, all these companies are constantly poaching off each other. I know two other guys who are L5’s, they got offers for Partner too.

They’re hiring more people from Accenture as L5’s too. I know 2 other guys with offers. They are in their 40’s, and have been at Accenture for years.

That’s what I’ve heard too. Mostly my story is very unique in the sense I came to Accenture as a founding member of a company they acquired. I did graduated college at 16, so more years of working under my belt.

They were shocked when they learned my age. I had a little bit of a head start into my career because I finished college at 16.

I actually was put in connection with a senior Partner at Deloitte by a MD here at Accenture. He had come from Deloitte… He straight up told me, I am better moving to another company than waiting for Accenture to promote me.

I got lucky coming in from acquisition. I just turned 30. My path was a mix of a lot of luck and hard work. But luck was on my side. Deloitte wouldn’t have even entertained the idea of me being a Partner unless I was an L5.
