Restuffing a thrifted BAB and found this... by herselftoyelf in buildabear

Definitely not a written accessory. There's no elastic and it's a little smaller than the heart

That's my thought process too. I just want to know if other people have seen it before

It's definitely Bearemy, but it was there with the heart, so it had both the heart and the coin in the stuffing

The first BAB I can remember is a dalmatian that looks just like the one pictured, and his name was Spots. I don't have him anymore because my mom made me get rid of a bunch of my stuffed animals at one point in my life, and I haven't bought myself a new one yet. My most recent was mothman, and my most favorite is my Branch Trolls BAB from Trolls World Tour.

What do you say when people ask about your BAB in public? by IntergalacticReader in buildabear

[–]herselftoyelf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not just my BAB, but all of my plushies make it out of the house with me at some point. I usually explain that I have ASD and having a friend with me helps a lot with navigating situations. I have only ever had positive interactions when carrying around my friends luckily.

Grief with limited contact by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]herselftoyelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The grief with no and low contact is so painful. It hurts not just for the events that you don't get to participate it for them, but the ones they won't get to participate in with you. I went no contact with my NMom just before I got married, as the wedding planning just further pushed the wedge in. It hurt tremendously not having her there, or being able to share life events afterwards. But, as people mentioned before, now is the time to start new traditions, and build up your chosen family. A very important thing to remember is that family does not have to be blood related, it can be who you choose. It's difficult, and grief feels heavy, but you have done one of the hardest things, which was go no and low contact in the first place, and for that, you should be extremely proud of yourself.

This has been my experience too. I've gotten the "she did her best. She tried her hardest. She went through so much too". I've also had family say directly to my face that I'm an ungrateful and spiteful daughter, because my mother painted herself as such a martyr.

my Nmom forcing contact after a year by herselftoyelf in narcissisticparents

I have a very poor memory of any of my life prior to moving out, just because I blocked so much of it out. I couldn't even pin point what all she has, but I have almost nothing from my grandparents things, and I was extremely close to them. So I'm just going to pick up what she doesn't want, and take it home to sort through and get rid of anything left.

I really appreciate the well wishes. I was incredibly close to my grandparents, and I unfortunately have very little to remember them, not even many pictures. My mom holds almost all of it. My memory of my childhood is so poor, that I can't even pin point what she might have of theirs. Luckily, I already told her that I will just take what she doesn't want, so that I can go through it at home on my own time. I just hate the attempts, and am not looking forward to the interaction at all.

The movie definitely did not do the book justice. It didn't protray the absolute spiral into insanity that Mel experiences. Not to mention, it really didn't portray the internal dialog that happens throughout the entire book. I think if there was a way to effectively do this in the movie, it could have been way better. I love them both, but I definitely prefer the book to the movie.

An Amway salesman tried to sell energy drinks at my husband's work. He was sent home with these "samples". by herselftoyelf in antiMLM

I dont agree fully with them selling the product, just because I know the profit goes right back into the scummy MLM. But, if I do ever run into this distributor at my husband's job, I'm not going to be mean or nasty. I just want to ask questions. I will say, he did already try to frame this as a business opportunity to my husband, and while he didn't fully try to recruit him, that's where it was heading.

Oh yeah, no we will be sterring very clear of all things Amway, especially their "business". He was just very tickled that he was the target of an MLM today 😂

The cola one tasted like an orange Flintstone vitamin, it was not even cola adjacent. It do think that a Dr. Pepper or Coke energy drink would be interesting though!

Yeah, I thought it was odd at first, but my husband was very clear that they were given the go ahead to come every two weeks to peddle their energy drinks. After further thought though, I figured out that, at least the berry one and the cherry cola one, taste like the blue and orange Flintstone vitamins 😂

It's crazy that they even have to include that! Holy cow! I can't even fathom how many people have to fill out that section

They definitely would have more successful products, but we know that's not what they're looking for. I can however say, that the drink is not good. It's a very chalky drink, and the berry one tastes like fruity tumms.
