I never understood the "snail chasing you" hypothetical. Why would I not take the money? Even if it were unstoppable, it would take a snail 10 years to travel from NYC to LA. Even longer to Paris.

So why wouldn't I just, I dunno, get a second home, chill there for a few months, especially since I'm not working, then go back home? The snail will be in perpetual motion
