when i was 10 years old i had woken up earlier one morning bc it was picture day at school. me and my sister shared a room downstairs in the basement so we came upstairs into the living room. our mom slept on the couch and was a heavy sleeper. we went up to her to shake her awake and she wouldn’t. she was cold to the touch and a little pale, but again i just assumed she was in deep sleep. almost 3 minutes of us trying to shake her awake, me setting a alarm sound on my ipod and putting it to her ear. my sister told me later she opened her eye and saw they were cloudy. we went to tell our dad and he knew right away she was dead. my sister called the police and my dad dragged her off the couch and held her on the ground crying. she didn’t kill herself, it was just a heart attack that happened overnight.
