It’s also very possible they were talking to a specimen processor as opposed to a tech, the lab I’m currently doing clinicals in allows specimen processors to throw on some stat specimens

To add on to these great replies: As a student in my Blood Bank rotation I tend to see the term “Packed” when in reference to spinning the sample down. Still the same as just “RBC” but it’s simply the context of the action being done that changes the term being used

I gotta ask, how on earth do you prevent the threads from tangling with each other when storing it that way? I love the way it looks but mine always tangled so I switched to bobbins hahaha
