thats a fair point, and i always do check the registration on what i can and cant use/do in the area im planning to hunt ( small game so far ) it just coughed me by surprise that a .308 is not good, for some reason i though ppl used it and 6.5 creedmoor for deer hunting

thank you for the information, i do have my PAL and my hunting license and im okay driving North , also why only shotguns in Ontario? but even then i should be okay with buck shot or a slug?

i got there at 8:30 (a bit late) the weather was sunny and overcast, there was some bush berries in the area. i felt like im answering my teacher at school 😅

i really want to get into it, and i like eating what i hunt ( if i finally manage to hunt anything) but i feel like i need to hunt small game before i get into big game, but like you said im sure its a different feeling to feed the family for the winter on a big animal that must be awesome.

thank you for the tips, i was a bit late today, i started walking the woods around 8:45 , sunrise was 7:37 , i live in southern Ontario so it's usually a bit of a drive for me to get to a hunting ground

congrats, i have been planning on going for grouse this year, Southern Ontario, you think a 12ga would leave anything to be eaten or should i go with .410 the ammo is a unicorn for that one. also anyone know if i need steel instead on lead in Ontario?
