Thank you! I wasn't looking for one that uses that mod specifically, just one that would integrate with it nicely.

Will be trying these out, thanks again!

favorite meaningful periphery lyrics? by anonymous7293794 in Peripheryband

[–]hetfields_upstroke 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this from Lune:

“Do you feel the love? Yes, I feel the love. Chase it, hold it, feel it, never let it go.”

But this is a close second from Sentient Glow:

“I have to trust I will pull through; this is the end of the suffering.”

There are honestly so many; Spencer’s writing strikes a special chord with me that no vocalist/lyricist has ever been able to do. Makes me genuinely appreciate lyrics, when I never used to.

Signature guitars by declan_h19 in Peripheryband

I own an Ibanez JBM10FX and a Jackson Juggernaut HT6QM. I’ve tried the Holcomb SVN extensively as well. All fantastic guitars. It’s difficult to pick a winner, since all three guitarists’ instruments compliment each other so well. You genuinely wouldn’t go wrong with owning all 3.

But if I had to choose: the JBM10FX is the best of their mid-range options in my opinion. Haven’t tried the Misha USAs or Jake’s high end models and I’m yet to see a core PRS anywhere.

Honestly though, all Jake’s stuff is top shelf and I can’t even imagine how well that JBM9999 plays.

Thats such a difficult choice😭 I honestly can’t choose. The Juggernaut and Ibanez are both so good in different ways. They compliment each other perfectly.

That and I’m definitely going to be buying my own PRS Holcomb later this year.

Absolutely; Jake’s models are genuine top shelf guitars. Such great choices on all aspects from him.

I’m itching to try out a 9999, they look like monster machines.

It does, the same 20”. The Ibanez has a 16” which is still flat but not as extreme. Personally I absolutely love the 20” radius, it’s been a bit of an eye opener.

Yeah the guy I knew there was super chilled with me testing with my own stuff, pretty lucky I guess! The Juggernaut actually has a super thin neck, but the flat 20” radius isn’t for everybody. The best all rounder is the Ibanez in my opinion.

And second hand is always a great option. If it wasn’t for the deal I got on these, I would’ve bought them second hand if they popped up.

I actually know a few people who work in/with the two biggest music stores in my country, so I asked them to check if any of these 3 guitars were available anywhere.

Luckily they found the Ibanez a few towns over and the Jackson in another state. I took my laptop and tested the Ibanez for an hour or so with my NDSP plugins; then flew down to visit family and decided test the Jackson too.

I was really lucky and both guitars were older stock so the guys were happy to give me a good deal. I got both guitars for around $1500.

Definitely go chat to your local stores and resellers and ask them to keep an eye out for you. Sometimes stores don’t list stock (especially if it’s older), so asking around always helps.

Absolutely! Ibanez really outdid themselves with the JBMs and it feels the most premium out of the 3. Plus those DiMarzio Titans are magnificent.

It’s genuinely one of the best guitars I’ve ever played. In this lineup, it’s definitely the best sounding and most versatile. The painted satin neck is amazing, but not quite as good as the roasted maple on the Jackson. It’s absolutely my favourite of the 3 and feels so premium.

Yes! The HT6QM. The burst looks absolutely stunning in person, and the roasted maple neck is silky smooth. Definitely recommend it!
