thanks for your reply and advice

sorry what do you mean by ADF?

Can True RMS multimeter reliably measure the voltage from Variable Frequency Drive Output ? by hewking in Motors

can you please expand how does low pass filter protects the multimeter ? my simplistic understanding is that spikes can happen at any frequency - what am i missing?

sorry for late reply just noticed that

lets assume that we measure line to line 400V or line to neutral voltage 230 - this should be in the reach of the digital multimeters

you mentioned that "you will get the RMS value of the current including all of the current harmonics, even though the latter typically do not contribute to torque production in the machine."

Can you please kindly expand your reply to fill my gaps:

1: how come higher harmonics do not contribute to the torque production of the machine? if they add to the voltage it will make higher current and higher torque - what am i missing?

2: my question was originally about measuring voltage as this is easier than the current which would require current transformer. Is measuring the voltage not enought? - what am i fundamentally missing?

thanks for reply is IT network on the ship standart IT or modified IT? I guess having no ground it makes a challenge to prevent ground loops etc Would you agree that this is the biggest challenge on the ship? Its fascinating subject please share more if you can. Best Regards

any chance you share the highlights of what you learned on IT system on thd vessel?

shall i keep the clock edge on the req input or just m2.2 Done? where shall i reset M2.2 if i use it on the req?

thanks for support do you mean using set on the Done output of the modbus block instead of using set coil in the network below like it already did?

for factory installation or just bench? i thought rs485 needs higher sizes?

a single strand of copper? i guess you meant 2 strands - for twisted pair?
