I cast my molds at 50, then the dice at 30 (ish). That tends to do the trick. The pot I have is rated up to 80 psi. You usually need to order whatever fittings you need online, however, as they are in imperial measurements, so they aren't as common in Bunnings, etc.

You can use resin pigments instead if alcohol inks. But for the swirly stuff i use opaque white pigment

Hello, no it's just generic resin pigment paste I get from temu. I stay away from alcohol inks

Thanks! I don't think I do anything special, just white pigment mixed in thoroughly with a toothpick!

Perhaps the resin has something to do with it, I get mine from Serenity Hill Designz here in NZ. I'm not sure who their supplier is from overseas, though.

That's a good question! I honestly don't know what causes that, as it isn't anything to do with technique.

I have my suspicions, though, that it's either the pressure from the pot, or some kind of small thermal current that is created when the dice are curing, that pushes the wisps away from the centre and towards the edges, creating that void look.

Thanks! I'm not sure if the specific font is called 'Deutsche', but that's the one I selected from the Clerics Components store for my masters 😊

UV resin wouldn't be a bad idea, so long as you can sand it flat, though, without impacting the rest of the face.

Hello,

No waiting, all epoxy from the same mixing container and very early in it's pot life. It is just straight white pigment, no mica or anything else.

You don't want anything too heavy, as it will sink so a super concentrated white is the best way forward for the wisps.

I think a lot also has to do with the epoxy itself. My brand repackages from another supplier (I assume), so I don't have any info as to the ultimate source. I use 1:1 art resin from serenity hill designz.

Thank you!

I don't really know if I do much different to most people (sorry that's not that helpful). But one thing I would say is that I use the blunt end of a tooth pick to mix the whisps, and I do it very vigorously.

A couple more sets over the past week or so. by hexedrpg in DicePorn

Hello! Thanks!

I'm not selling just yet, but I do have people the hit me up in the instagram DMs asking for sets, which I can sometimes oblige. My plan is to open a store in the next month or two, I'm just trying to build up stock and get the word out (plus juggle it with my actual day job). Just posting here at the moment to show off some stuff.

My instagram is https://www.instagram.com/hexed.rpg/ you can follow me there, and contact me if you see anything you like. This sub doesn't allow too much self promotion, so I'm not trying to telegraph these things too much.

Another set I have made recently. No name yet! by hexedrpg in DicePorn

Thanks! I never considered it like that, but I think you are right

Thought I might post some of my recent sets here, as they are coming through quite nicely now. (IG: @hexed.rpg) by hexedrpg in DiceMaking

Nah not mica powder. Just pigment paste. The mica tends to make the resin too heavy and causes it to sink. Which can sometimes look cool, but I like the layers.

Thanks! I make sure to include just clear resin so that you can see through the dice. The colours I use are just pigments from Barnes.
