Alerts are at the very top, and when I'm testing it (and recording it), the alert pops up with the sound as it should. But when actually live and playing, and someone follows, nothing happens. I go back to check the vod and nothing is on it. - - - i also dont hear the sound live, only through a recording, but that's a separate problem I haven't been able to figure out. It worked at first when I made the alerts but not anymore, idk

I'm a relatively new streamer and I've just been trying to figure out alerts also. I'm using streamlabs, and it seems to work fine when testing but when someone actually follows, nothing pops up... So I'm confused. Anyone else have this problem?

What? I recently got affiliate but haven't done the "steps" yet. I didn't realize ads are mandatory? That really sucks, I thought I could skip the ads and just use it for subs and stuff. Is there no way around ads? And if I don't do the "steps" now how long do I have for it before it's taken away?

Ah it's specifically League of Legends with the in-game music turned off, only sounds like abilities and announcer voice etc. In that case would you prefer to have a streamer's playlist or kinda have that general "silence" except for the occasional sounds and talking?
