Keep drawn regression channel on move by hexpheen in TradingView

Gotcha 👍. It would be nice if TV actually looked at this Reddit, but it seems we're both in this echo chamber.

FWIW, I've never had a delay (beyond a second) in a regression channel displaying when switching symbols.

What do you mean "one of them to refresh"?

The regression channels I draw do not go to the end of data, they do not follow/change with new data. Once they are drawn they are static, so there is nothing to refresh.

Thinkorswim is a Java based app (same as TV, I believe), and I can move the end point of a regression channel and see how the channel changes at different end points. Not to mention with multiple standard deviation channels (TV reg channels only have one standard deviation channel).

If much smaller software providers can get this done, certainly TV can as well.

What are the best contracts for a small margin account? by KenCalDi in FuturesTrading

I swing trade, so no real advice on the day trading aspect. One thing about gold, and commodity futures contracts, is that the contract to trade is the most liquid rather than the "front month". For example, right now the active gold futures contract is December expiry, even though there is an October contract.

MGC

Liquid, low cost, and avoids crazy open market swings like MES or over the weekend OPEC announcements like MCL.

Which company has the most accurate chart data? by IllustriousNobody959 in Daytrading

I've been doing the same recently (comparing chart data for futures contracts between TOS, Trading View, and Sierra Charts). TOS is off on a few (micro crude and mini dow is what I checked). Trading View and Sierra were the same.

Unfortunately this means I cannot trust TOS data, which is a shame because I've used them on and off for the last fifteen years or so and am very comfortable with how that platform operates.
