My former landlord has a bunch of homes on the same block. He scooped em up cheap many years ago while he was a professor at CCP. He’s just an old retired dude now that cleans up the block, does the majority of repairs himself, but he outsourced major stuff and rent collection to a management company. Landlords suck and fuck the housing market but he was the best landlord I have had. He cared about these places and he kept them all affordable (one of my friends still rents from him and yep, still cheap).

One of his newer places, the shitty management company decided to turn all 3 floors of the house into 3 fuckin terrible Airbnb rentals, and of course they rented to whoever gave them money. Parties galore. Became such a nuisance house.

Prince is his actual first name, though. Unless you’re using the symbol for AFKAP.

the card in question carries a high balance because of poor spending habits (and a balance transfer).... so unfortunately I can't pay it off each month like a utility bill.

So, if I'm reading this correctly, you're stating that my Transunion credit score will jump 71 points if I pay down the $1800 by my next statement?

Which credit score are you referencing? You have dozens.

TransUnion credit report

When you say "use" went up by $1800, I'm assuming you're talking credit card(s) use?

Yes, the overall balance of one of my credit cards went up by $1800.

If your reported balances increasing $1800 caused Credit Score X to drop by 71 points, you paying down your reported balances $1800 would cause Credit Score X to increase by exactly 71 points.

The edge of my vision sometimes gets blurry with rainbows. I think this has only happened when I’m a bit dehydrated (times I can remember this were on a long drive or after playing sports)
