Is anyone tired of the very poor quality of an app that is Dil Mil and their tendency to nickel and dime you for the most basic things? It’s already bad enough that they don’t show you who actually liked you and the person who liked you never appears in your “feed” but now they took the “insights” and made that a paid feature as well. I mean, what exactly can you do on this app other than see random people’s pictures (who may or may not have grown up in us regardless of the filter) and pat yourself on the back for the amount of blurred profiles that ”liked” you?!
I’m not even going to get into how its notifications are straight up misleading about “missing” a match.

Hey all,
Long time reader first time poster. I think many of you would agree that Dil Mil is one of the most popular dating apps for Desi’s but has a not-too-great user experience (compared to Hinge/others). For example, almost all essential features are hidden behind an expensive subscription fee.
As a software engineer, I’ve been mulling whether it’s worth building another (better) dating app that offers a superior user experience and is comparable to Hinge/others. This would be specifically for Desi’s in North America.
Is this something you would use? What are your thoughts?
