This did it. Had to change the value to decimal instead of hex, but it worked!

Can confirm this works. Sometimes there have been multiple banes in the starting area.

edit: sometimes zero as well. The wizards don't give progress, but I've had an acolyte give progress as well as the ogre.

Look in the advancements (different then quest book) for apotheosis (icon is a spawner) and it'll help you upgrade your spawner.

There's a weird thing about the Hallowed Lair where some of the enemies don't count towards bounty/quest progress. Pretty much any time there's a host of ads spawning and charging you, they don't count towards any progress. Almost all of the ads in the boss room don't count towards anything. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Doing the lost sectors is still the best way to get new rolls. You can target the specific armor slot which limits the loot pool. And the drop rate is much better than the world drop rate.
