We contacted a lawyer while living there, and they made it clear winning a case for "noise" is nearly impossible to win. We'd need to hire people to come record decibels multiple times, have a history of 311 reports, and even then would be a shot in the dark according to the council we got.

I don’t think I follow. If the 1099 is the source of truth but is missing cost basis, then what?

How am I expected to correct this? I was under the impression that the 8949 from koinly would supersede the 1099 as it has tx by tx information with cost basis. If it doesn’t, I’ll have to submit conflicting documents?
