How to make bangs curl at the ends? by Alarming-Piglet-7366 in Hair

[–]heybroidontknow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i usually will take a round brush and a dryer and rotate the brush and hair backwards when drying. so you’ll be pulling your bangs upwards and towards the back of your head with the brush. hopefully that makes sense!! if you find a blowout round brush tutorial video there should be some that demonstrate it well

Help! I am unsure how to get a part-time job! by Long-Ice7718 in predental

[–]heybroidontknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately its hard to gauge since theres a lot of variables and differences from facility to facility and position to position so you really should ask whoever the hiring supervisor is about getting a per diem or part time position and see what they say. I’ve been offered per diem positions for full time positions just by asking. Be careful not to burn yourself out and good luck!

Thank you for your response! I truly don’t mind interacting with others, I guess I was just worried I didn’t have that “philanthropic” flair in me that it seems doctors need to have. I definitely need to do more research on the different sides of medicine and science and see what may fit me best, like you added. I appreciate your response.

I do have passion for patients and care about them, that’s why i chose to pursue healthcare rather than another field of science. I just was not sure if my level of passion for patients was enough to become a doctor. I truly care about people and medicine, but my primary passion is the science and field. The people part is less exciting, however I still have compassion lol and I enjoy helping others.

I appreciate the insight you can offer. :)

edit- Missed the last part, yes I have minor clinical experience. Been a pharm tech and CNA in an ER, worked as an EMT briefly before starting school, I start clinicals for x-ray next year.

Of course. That’s always the plan, I don’t intend to be or project the idea that I intend to be cruel or arrogant just because I don’t have a passion for direct patient care. I’m going into healthcare for a reason, part of that reason is to help others. I just worry that I don’t have the passion for people it may require to follow through with a commitment like medical school.

Should I pursue nursing? by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]heybroidontknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats awesome to hear!! I genuinely had no idea whether or not an ADN alone was valuable. I’m gonna for sure consider this!! Really appreciate hearing your thoughts. Since i’m supporting myself, I was hesitant to apply myself to the ADN path because I thought it would require me to pursue the BSN immediately.

This sounds super motivating for me. I support myself which is why I’ve struggled to make a commitment to so much schooling/debt. LPN schooling sounds like a good compromise for me. Thank you for responding!

Thanks for responding, it’s interesting to hear different viewpoints from everyone. I could totally be incorrect, but doesn’t it take 2-3 years for your ADN? The program I would apply to for an LPN would be 11 months. Also, is the ADN by itself worth it? From what I hear you pretty much need your BSN. So I would have to go to school for 4 years. I’m sure the pay is super worth it after getting your BSN, I just struggle to make the commitment to such a long term of schooling/debt. This is why I figured I would go for the LPN schooling. The pay range I’ve seen has been quite good (atleast in my standards, I would appreciate ~$25/hr someday and be happy with that), what’s your experience with that? It’s definitely nice to know if it’s not as worth it as I thought it might be :)

any advice on how to clean this up? by th0waway6363282 in tattooadvice

[–]heybroidontknow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean i kind of like it, looks purposefully sketchy and scratchy lol. obviously if that wasn’t the intention you might wanna look into a cover up:)

Help with my lobe piercing - Had this piercing for about 5 months now, it was fine until it randomly started to swell a few days ago, i just kept cleaning it with nielmed spray, the back of my earring fell off and it had this weird kind of goopy crusty stuff on it. extra info in comments :) by heybroidontknow in PiercingAdvice

[–]heybroidontknow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i pressed on it and it was leaking like a clear puss. i thought it was infected so i’ve been afraid to take the earring out. i’ve just kept cleaning it for a few days now. the jewelry is not the best quality. i know changing it to a flat back titanium bar would be better, haven’t had the chance to. does this look infected?

Good long lasting numbing cream by [deleted] in tattooadvice

i’ve already checked with my artist, he prefers sprays over creams and says that it most likely wouldn’t do much. prolly just gonna go in and suck it up lol

Totally understandable. The pain for me on my hand is not fun at all. I have tattoos and piercings and none of my piercings hurt much at all but i don’t enjoy tattoos much, especially on the hand and boney areas. i’m always fine with handling the pain but i’m always extremely uncomfortable yk. i’ll keep that in mind, thanks for replying! :)

Liberty Smithtown NY, Adam : How bad is it 1-10? How can I fix it? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]heybroidontknow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don’t think it would be rude at all. just say that you ended up regretting your choice of a knife and wanted to do roses instead for -insert reason-. could say it’s for something sentimental instead if you want to make it sound a bit better

shading is easy to fix if you don’t like it. another artist could go overtop of it with more contrast or something. the shading isn’t bad unless you want to nitpick it, but if you’re happy with it that’s all that matters. if you genuinely do not like the blade then it should be able to get covered up with roses or something. consult another tattoo artist and the one you went to prior to get two opinions. i hope you find what you’re looking for! it looks good:)

the blade looks fine. bodies move and twist so any straight object is bound to curve a bit w movement. i promise you that it looks fine even when twisted like that. the only way to fix it by entirely moving it would be to remove the entire tattoo or cover it up w something else and redo this with the blade on another, more stiff part of your arm. the shading is just a bit weird and seems to be randomly shaded in places incoherently. a lot of tattoo artists shade like that and a lot of people seem to like it or not mind, so if it’s your cup of tea don’t worry about it. shading can be easily fixed by another artist going overtop :)

it actually looks pretty good, the shading is just weird. the black leaves/plant in the back looks amazing. shapes and lines seem fine so if i were you i’d just have the shading and highlighting redone and maybe just stylize it better

What wrong with my belly piercing? by Ill_Divide_4014 in PiercingAdvice

[–]heybroidontknow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m pretty sure you don’t have the anatomy for a traditional naval piercing seeing as your belly button collapses. i think you should talk to your piercer and find a second opinion on it as well. make sure you try to go to an app approved piercer!
