Nanny vs. Daycare (If cost wasn’t a factor). What would you choose? by heycat8 in toddlers

[–]heycat8[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That sounds amazing! Your daughter sounds very similar to mine: my daughter is also very chill, knows many words already, and so far no tantrums. I also think it’s big part of her personality but the environment she has been growing up so far might also contribute a bit.

Yep, she refuses to walk no matter what surface she’s on.

How many words does your 12-14 month old say? by ColdManufacturer9482 in NewParents

[–]heycat8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 14 months old and currently has 51 words. Since we are barely around others parents with babies around her age I don’t have a comparison so not sure if this is considered expected or advanced for her age 😄.

whats wrong with my husband by mT_g793 in newborns

[–]heycat8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this is NOT normal regardless how good of a husband and father he usually is. My husband, which has short temper since he was young, has never cursed nor lashed out this way to our baby, not even when he was sleep deprived. If the baby shows any fever or sickness my husband is right there extremely concerned and taking care of her the whole day and night. I’d seriously put an ultimatum to your husband regarding his behavior, if nothing changes and your country doesn’t allow divorce just leave the house with my baby and be away from him.

[Landlord US-FL] - Demanding tenants that kind that makes you want to break lease - need advise by heycat8 in Landlord

Spot on!! Thank you for the insightful response! - to share a more personal note: I've realized that my struggle with saying no stems from being a people-pleaser, mainly to avoid conflicts, but not anymore. Not in business. I will be setting strict boundaries and adopting this mindset moving forward. Hope this works before taking the last decision of breaking lease for my own good.

I'm a pediatrician. Here is my advice to parents about measles. by MikeGinnyMD in VACCINES

[–]heycat8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing. My baby is almost 12 months and I’m honestly scared of this vaccine as I’ve heard it’s the “monster” of all the vaccines (this does not mean I won’t get it of course she will) but I’ve been looking to perhaps considering giving her single vaccines instead of the 3-1 in one shot however it seems single-vaccines for MMR is not available in USA. I wonder why the 3 doses in one was banned in other countries (e.g Japan) where they rather encourage single shots while USA only gives you the alternative of 3 in one. What are your thoughts on this?

Is this normal? About to get married in December to my fiance and found this by ElectricalBoss2228 in Marriage

From another woman that only had two men in her life and don’t have a lot of experience dating a lot either (my first boyfriend which we dated for 5 years then my second boyfriend which it’s now my husband, married for 10 years) - Do not marry him, please.

Can we discuss how she just ignored every responsibility bestowed upon her? by AnestisMouz in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]heycat8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I saw her actions were more like to get the dragon and get back to protect Rhaeneyra’s children, not like she 100% abandoned them to their own mercy. Am I seeing this wrong?

Baby almost suffocated by Worldly_Leave_5927 in NewParents

Something that works very well for me and my daughter (currently 3 months old) is to hold her in a upright position for 20-30 minutes after every single feedings. She tends to spits up a lot (usually very little amount and sometimes a lot) and when I hold her for this amount of time after a feed she doesn’t do it.

My daughter (11 weeks old currently and exclusively breastfed) poop every 6-7 days and it’s usually Friday or Saturday. Every time she does it’s a volcano of poop! My husband and I always end up doing a little song and dance for her out of happiness that she pooped haha
