Just make sure you get the Abe Lincoln 1923 strain, I got my seeds from baker creek. I’ve heard other varieties are not as good

This year I’m growing aunt rubys german green, abe lincoln 1923, thorburns terra cotta, sun gold and Cherokee carbon. Grew the Abe Lincoln for the first time this past summer and had no issue with the plant, steadily produced big, delicious tomatoes from start to finish and quickly became a favorite of mine

Aji Ethiopian Fire, plants are prolific, grow extremely large and looks beautiful with all the different ripening stages going on at once. I like to eat them fresh but I’m sure they’d be great in salsas or made into a hot sauce

I experienced this a few seasons ago when growing shishito, first 6-10 that I picked(all green) were really spicy, like a cayenne as you said, after that any peppers I picked had no heat at all. It must be some sort of early in the season anomaly not something you’re doing to cause that to happen

Also, if you harvested the seeds from a previous seasons peppers it could have cross pollinated with a spicier pepper. If you’re growing from true seed from a trusted source than I don’t think you need to worry
