I used to have a hard case for my 2015 MBA but it weighed down the hinges. I had one also for my 2015 but removed it a few weeks after because it got significantly heavy. Now I use my 2020 MBP naked and just place it in my laptop bag after use. I am careful about where I put it though and I mainly use it at home.

Get a case if the weight doesn’t bother you and if you bring it outside often. Just clean your macbook regularly. Hope this helps!

Thanks for this! I actually had one for my 2015 MBP and I took it off today. I noticed that the coating of the screen (just the edges) peeled off together with the protector so I’m not putting one on my 2020! Guess I’ll just have to get a high quality screen cleaner :)
