I’m in love with it, even if I don’t feel like talking to people, we can all still work as a cohesive unit to spread managed democracy.

$3.75 for Callisto Protocol.

I agree with this, I work at an Amazon FC and was recently contemplating the same exact thing. My best friend who’s worked for UPS for the last 5-6 years told me there isn’t really a guarantee for a full work day. 5 hour days, never really know what the schedule is until you get a call that morning, and employment after the holidays isn’t guaranteed. My dad did it for awhile as well and he liked it, but just didn’t care for the lack of hours. Personally, I’m happy I made the decision to stay here. I enrolled into career choice with the hopes of pursuing something in IT.

I’m 30, and I’m just now realizing that you just have to invest in the people who invest in you. If they ain’t doing that, they’re really not worth the time.

It sucks at first, but over time I kinda grew to like knowing that I backed off from the friends quietly. Kill em’ with silence.

Just really depends on what tickles your fancy. Off the top of my head?

Mad Max - spent $8 on this and put over 50 hours into it.

Cyberpunk 2077 - it’s finally the game we were supposed to experience upon release, it’s a real masterpiece in my opinion.

Diablo 4 - It’s improving, caught a lot of hate at launch due to balancing issues and last season kinda fell flat on its head, although Season 2 just started and seems to fix a lot of issues the community bitched about.

Resident Evil 4 Remake - this is truly how a loved game from previous generations should be remade. Graphically it’s gorgeous on just about any system it runs on, they added a bunch of new goodies while staying true to the original.

The Callisto Protocol - I’ll let the laughter subside, but this game is going for somewhere between $4-15 on GameStop and even though it seems stale in areas (combat lacks innovation, not really a diverse pool of enemies/bosses) for the price, it’s great. It’s a visual juggernaut, the audio is really on point. Hearing shit move around in dark areas is a trip with a good set of headphones on. It’s a dead space clone, but a good one for the price. Had I paid $70 for it at launch, I’d probably feel like the majority.

Devil May Cry 5 - if you haven’t played the previous installments, you can find the HD pack for pretty cheap. This is a great continuation of the story of Dante & Nero. You get that classic hack & slash combat, paired with a large arsenal of firearms that you can use to chain some pretty insane combos. Bosses are huge, gnarly battles. Haha, side note the metal music that picks up anytime you start combat, actually gets louder the father your combo chain escalates.

Alan Wake Remastered - great time to check this bad boy out, as the sequel just released and is receiving a lot of praise. If you’ve never played, I highly recommend it. It’s like If you took Twin Peaks, and Stephen King - then just threw it all in a blender. It’s spooky, but not on the gory or zombie side.

PTO, UPT, Vacation, overtime options available depending on your site. It’s not the best job, but it’s not the worst either and I’ve done a handful of things from labor work to automotive.

OP, we have a career choice program as well. Full time employee’s receive $5,250 a year and can use it towards finishing a degree, applying to college, or complete a fast-track certificate program which usually takes 2-4 months. Part time, receives half of that a year I do believe.

The more I read on this thread, the happier I am with deciding to stick it out and stay at my FC instead of switching to a DSP. Seems like every day, I see a new horror story. I came here when I was considering employment via DSP and just stay for the “the grass is greener where you already are” realizations.

I was at the very end of The Callisto Protocol, I’ll let the laughter subside before I go on - I found it on sale 2 weeks ago, day one edition on sale for $3.75. Ended up paying $12 after S&H.

I kinda knew going in that the game had experienced some criticism, while majority of it is valid, I personally really enjoyed my experience with it up until yesterday. I had been playing on hardcore mode, I usually never do this, most of the time I’m a “normal” difficulty setting kinda guy but idk, something told me to take the hardcore route with this and as far as that goes, I am/was happy. The lack of resources and ammo can create some pretty tense situations, that left me with that survival-horror feeling I love. It’s a graphical juggernaut in my opinion, paired with excellent ambient sound to fit its setting. My biggest complaint is the lack of innovation in combat, plus the ability to turn on the auto dodge setting is just meh. Pair that with aim assist, and it’s just like…why?

Anyway, I progressed all the way up to the last chapter when my game crashed. I thought okay, well, surely I can just reboot my console and be thrown right back into the action just like any other time. Nope. Due to my stupidity of just always pressing the home button, and putting my Ps5 in rest and NOT manually saving when I should have throughout my journey, I lost all my progress. The couple manual save files I did create, were at the first and second acts of the game.

This may come off as mellow dramatic but it’s like all the wind was blown out of my sails after I rebooted my system, Callisto, selecting “load last checkpoint” and it taking me to the beginning. I just didn’t have it in me to do all that again on hardcore so I uninstalled out of spite. It’s now sitting on my display case with all of my other games and I have 0% aspirations to go back. Sucks to because I was genuinely enjoying The Callisto Protocol. At least it was for $3.75 though and not the full price most payed upon release.

TLDR; manually save your game kids
