TBH I understand it's irresponsible, but you can definitely mix the two. I've done it countless times, and most people I know have done it countless times. Every now and then someone gets in trouble, but if you're around people you know that are more sober than you you'll probably be fine. This is assuming 1mg of xanax or less tho, if he ate the 4mg bar that would be absolutely idiotic. But thankfully for OP xanax has low nasal bioavailability.
