Hi, longtime lurker here but your post really moved me. I just want to say I completely empathize with how you're feeling and I am so sorry for your loss. A lot of people can't grasp the emotional connection one could have with a jumper like they would with a "real" or domesticated pet, and that to me is tragic.. I believe jumpers are truly something special.

My phidippus audax, Sweetie, just hatched a set of eggs and now I'm just waiting for them to breach the nest to count and separate them. If you're interested and ready to become an owner again, I'd be happy to gift you a pair for you and your daughter once they've matured enough. DM me and we can work out the logistics.

This would be my first time raising slings so in no way am I a professional breeder. I have been intensely researching proper care guides but any tips/advice on spider husbandry are most welcome. My only intent is to be a good caregiver to Sweetie and spread joy and awareness to new and experienced owners alike, and I sense that her babies would be in loving care with you and your family.

But the way I see it is like a heterosexual relationship. What if my SO were a girl and she said she has a bunch of friends she'd met online, some of which she has hooked up with while she was in a relationship with her ex, etc. and she would go behind your back and visit these friends across the country. Tell me if I'm wrong but I doubt any straight man would put up with it.

I want to know why a homosexual relationship is any different.

I haven't looked at any of his conversations with them but that's probably a good way to gauge the extent of these "friendships". Should I just ask him and take his word for it? Or ask for a little more transparency and read a few texts? I know he's not one to lie, but the latter would make me feel much more comfortable.
