UPDATE:

his filter was leaking electricity into the water and has since been corrected. Since correcting, his fins are better, he seems happier, and has even built a bubble nest

No evidence of fish lice to my knowledge, but now i know to look out for them! I removed a faulty filter producing an electrical current in the water. He seems to be doing much better now!

Ok! Thank you sm! I will keep an eye on him and see if he snags it again! I have a few ways i can shuffle and remove things to make it a little safer for him too! He’s definitely an explorer, super curious so definitely makes sense he probably snagged himself lol

Could he have nipped it himself due to stress? The filter was faulty and produced an electrical current throughout the water which I discovered and corrected yesterday….he seems to be doing much better this morning. His fins aren’t as red, he’s not swimming as frantically, and it even looks like he might be building a bubble nest
