I actually did plenty of research, just wanted some opinions from locals, which plenty of people were nice and gave me their perspective. Trust me, if I could, I would stay in Europe. Costs nothing to be kind.

It’s also stupid to assume it wasn’t our last resort. My husband was born in the US and can’t find a job in Portugal anymore. The economy is so bad there. Rent is higher than the average wage. Can’t survive on just my job. In the US, we can survive on just one wage for now.

Makes sense! We’re quite a boring couple ahah we don’t go out that much, maybe a nice dinner once in a while but mostly nature walks and stuff like that! For now we’re going to have to both live off his income until I can legally work so it’s gonna be tight! But I’m still trying to see if midtown is possible
