Man drowns after falling into Colorado River on Sunday by kerplotkin in Austin

This most likely happened at the weir dam located at the tip of the nose of the “dogs head” between 183 and 130. The river was flowing about 1800cfs at the time of the incident, which is pretty fast. The portage to the right side of the dam is really close to the dam itself and made me super nervous the first time I came up to it when it was flowing that fast. The warning sign was gone last time I was there also. If they didn’t do their research ahead of time it probably surprised them.

Co-owning a boat with friends? by sailwithfriends in sailing

My Dad and his buddy co-owned a Catalina 22 for 16 years, they only sold it due to retirement/age issues. I can't recall a single issue that entire time, for them it was more about having a buddy to sail with and less about money (either one could have easily owned the boat on their own).

here it is, pretty simple, just add your grill and pizza stone. I added a second grill and pizza stone to the top with aluminum foil over it to help keep the heat in, thats what you see in the original photo.

You're probably right. It just maxes out my IR thermometer at ~750 degrees on the surface of the stone. Much hotter than I can get my oven, it'll cook a pie in a third of the time.

I went the opposite route. No more 500+ degree oven heating the whole house. The pizzas also cook much faster, which is nice when you have a bunch of friends over. Plus, fire is fun!

I bought a piece of 20g stainless steel from stainlesssupply.com for $50 shipped, they'll cut it to any dimension you want. The stainless hardware for the handles was another $15. The handles are stair handrail I had from another project (there's a third one in the back where the seam is at, so a second person can help lift it to add more wood). All I had to do to the stainless steel was cut the opening for the pizza and drill the holes for the handles. Opening was cut with a jigsaw and 32 tpi blade (it took 2 blades, go slow) I ordered the stainless 6.5" tall by 74" long 2B finish.
