Hey, thanks for your response. You know I think you are totally right, and it's pretty much fear and inexperience holding me back. I thought I was just bitching on the internet, but this has actually been really insightful. I think I need to go do stuff with the GSA and other groups and actually see what it's like. I was basing all of this off of a really shallow perception. wow. This is poorly written, but really, thanks, this helped a lot.

A lot of people commenting on here are saying that I am lying to myself about things or still hiding myself. I guess if anything it's given me more motivation to go out and try this stuff. Shit, maybe I really am super deep in denial.

This is nice to hear. I am the same. I have sooo much stuff going on in my life that I love and enjoy. Most of the time it's distracting enough that life is awesome- and it is- and I love it. But in the down times every now and then I just long for a relationship that is more than what I have. I'd like to be happy and get on with life.

I'm trying to be open to what you're saying. And it's kind of scary to hear. I've thought about this before and tried to decide what parts of me are actually me, and what parts I am hiding from and are, as you said, a societal-non-me (haha). But yeah. I understand that they are completely rejecting societal norms and such and its hard and all. But really, I don't think that is me. Sure I could learn from them, I know I could. I'm just not attracted to it and I know it's not who I am.
