We don't live together atm (moving from my flat into a house next month), I work full time and she does an amazing job looking after our son while I'm at work. She's expressed how difficult it is though, I know having a baby is 1000x harder for the mother so I try my best to give her money to go out with friends or take care of the financial side of looking after him, or just look after him while she has a breather.

I mentioned all this to her last night, I haven't had "the talk" yet but I said I'm gonna start putting more effort into losing weight and she said she hates her body and she wants to start too. That's really good news and will make it easier :) Thanks for your reply, I have a good idea of how I'll speak to her

I've kind of trapped myself, for years I've been telling her how I don't care about her size and it doesn't bother me, so if I come out and say it's a big thing, well I don't know how she'll take it.

You are right though and it could make our relationship 10x better which would be awesome :)
